This version of American Trilogy is a DJ Joe Supersounds Tribute. I met Joe on Napster. I received this in my e-mail yesterday, wrote to Joe and asked permission to use it on a page. I feel honored that he approved, as it was going to another Elvis site. You may write to DJ Joe at BrooklynDJJoe@aol.com for information on purchasing this tribute. They are being sold with 75% contribution to the trade center fund of each sale. I have added the CD cover at the bottom so you can see what it will look like.. What a beautiful job Joe did with this.
We will never forget September 11, 2001, how it effected so many lives. We will never forget what we were doing when the first plane struck the World Trade Center, then the second. We sat in shock, not believing what we were seeing as not only the World Trade Center was hit, but the Pentagon, then Pittsburg, taking so many innocent lives, leaving so many without their mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles, children and friends. God Bless America!

A friend of my daughters wrote the following poem. I thought it was fitting to put on this page. I was given special permission to use it.

September 11

September eleventh two thousand and one
is the day that horrible terror was done.
For in that day many lives were changed
death and carnage had been arranged.
A group of men had created a plan
backed by a man from Afghanistan.

A group of men boarded a plane
years of waiting, years to train
to bring about the darkest hours
to bring down the Twin Towers.

The first tower was hit by plane number one.
The people were shocked by thing that was done.
The second tower was hit by plane number two.
It was then that we knew evil was not through.
Moments later taken was plane number three.
It flew over the White House for everyone to see
but the head of our nation
was not their destination.
for they veered sharply and crashed into the Pentagon.
It was then that we knew the war was on.

A sunny day, the sky blue and clear
killed were our loved ones that we hold dear.
The passengers on plane number four
together they banded and said no more.
They faced the fact that their future was grave.
They had no choice they had to be brave.
They used their phones to call their wives
then jumped the men that had the knives.
They tackled the terrorists and brought them down
then the plane plummeted and hit the ground.
Sacrificing their lives for others was a love act.
Many lives were saved, and that is a fact.

The sky in New York soon turned black
from the two towers burning like a giant smoke stack.
Firefighters didn't hesitate to rush in when they arrived
to bring the people out that had survived.
The people ran as fast as they could on foot
while being covered with ashes and soot.
People watched from the world around
as the towers fell down to the ground.
The nation mourned and the people cried
as the heroes and victims died.
A section was taken from the Pentagon
but the memory of loved ones will never be gone.

An American Trilogy

Oh I wish I was in the land of cotton
Old things they are not forgotten
Look away, look away, look away Dixieland
Oh I wish I was in Dixie, away, away
In Dixieland I take my stand to live and die in Dixie
Cause Dixieland, that's where I was born
Early Lord one frosty morning
Look away, look away, look away Dixieland

Glory, glory hallelujah
Glory, glory hallelujah
Glory, glory hallelujah
His truth is marching on

So hush little baby
Don't you cry
You know your daddy's bound to die
But all my trials, Lord will soon be over

Glory, glory hallelujah
His truth is marching on
His truth is marching on
