| Elvis's performance of "Peace In The Valley" on national TV may have been a conscious attempt to improve his image, but it sprang from Elvis's lifelong, fundamental love of church music. Recorded January 13, 1957 at Radio Recorders, Hollywood, first released on EP Peace In The Valley 1957. A big Easter push for Peace In The Valley provided another surprise hit, eventually selling over a half a million copies and leaving many wondering whether this artist could do no wrong. This was a request from John in memory of his Mom who passed away in June. |
